Tarrywood Designs was founded in 1979 with an idea and a vision of providing inspirational art for the Christian market that would make the eternal message of God's love relative to everyday living. Our very first products were posters I designed which were based on the liturgical art that I had produced over a period of many years on a weekly basis for Connecticut's Catholic weekly newspaper.

We soon expanded our vision to incorporate and promote quality inspirational art for the celebration of the liturgy on a weekly basis to the liturgical church market. In an effort to offer a variety of artistic styles and expressions we searched for and found other professional artists with religious art backgrounds and put together a collection of art to be used for the celebration of the liturgy based on the Roman Lectionary. Since the need is great for high-quality liturigical art on a Sunday-to-Sunday basis, we have served this market well.

We also recognize the needs of all Christian churches, both liturgical and nonliturgical, for inspirational art to capture the spirit of the Word for all reasons and all seasons. Once again, we are expanding our purpose and vision by providing liturgical art for the Revised Common Lectionary as well as the Roman Lectionary and by promoting our general-usage inspirational Christian Art ... To Lift the Heart.
